Intervention Specialists

At Woodview, Intervention Specialists provide assistance in assigned subject areas for small group intervention; reinforcing, integrating, and enriching the curriculum. Our goal is to create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the needs and success of the students. Intervention Specialists establish and maintain open communication with classroom teachers to monitor students' progress and determine instructional support and goals.

About Me

My name is Veronica Lopez and I am so excited to be part of the intervention team at Woodview Elementary.  This will be my 7th year at Woodview and my first one as an intervention teacher.  It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures.  I cannot be more excited!

I was born in Hidalgo, Mexico and moved to Houston, TX when I was in 6th grade. I have been living in the Spring Branch area since then.  I attended Spring Woods Middle School and Spring Woods High School. In 2009, I graduated from The University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science and emphasis on Interdisciplinary Studies.  I love school myself, and can’t wait to pass my passion for learning on to students.
