About Me

I am new to Spring Branch ISD after teaching for almost twenty years. I moved down to Houston to be with family five years ago from Arlington, TX and have loved living here! I have three children - Danny is a jazz arranger in Boston, Mass; Michael is a studio engineer in Austin; Lauren works for an oil company up in Arlington. My only grandson, Brooks, lives with his parents there.

I graduated from UT Austin with a degree in clothing and textiles, but it wasn't long after that I decided to go into teaching. I went back to school and got my certification twenty years ago. I then went for my Masters in Reading.

I have taught the majority of my career in ESL and Early Childhood, but I moved up to high school last year and realized I love the older kids! When this position came available, I jumped at the opportunity to work with such special kiddos. I look forward to many happy years at Spring Woods Middle School!
