About Me

  • I was born and raised in Monterrey Mexico.  I graduated in 1998 at the University of Monterrey with a major in International Marketing.  In 2006 I took my ACP certification and moved to Houston where I started my teaching career.  During those 10 years, I taught 2nd, 4th and 5th grade bilingual and ESL classes. This is my first year with Spring Branch ISD and I am very honored and excited to work here.  I've been married 4 years and I have two beautiful babies, Ian (3) and Audrey (16 months).

Class Information

Minimize

This year is all about reading! Is very important for Spring Oaks Middle School to create avid and proficient readers.  My students can expect to read a lot during my class time, they will have regular visits to the school's library and will have the opportunity to check out interesting and exciting books to read along the school year. At the same time we will be working really hard in our classroom to improve our reading skills in order to understand and analyze the reading materials that we will be working on this year.

Homework

Minimize

On a daily basis every student should be reading a minimum of 30 minutes a day.  We would love for our students to increase their reading stamina and support their reading skills with this daily practice.

Even though I don't assign any homework everyday, if the student didn't finish a class assignment, this should be completed at home and is due the next day.
