2013 Yearbook Editor's Photo Selected as Finalist in National Competition

Congratulations to the yearbook staff!  2012 SHS Yearbook Editor Anila Ademi has had one of her photos selected as a Finalist in the National Scholastic Press Association's Picture of the Year Competition.  Competing against 1200 other high school photographers' entries nationwide, only 50 images were chosen as Finalists.  Ademi's photo is a Finalist in the Environmental Portrait category.  Winners in each category will be announced at the national journalism convention in Boston, in November.

The Picture of the Year contest is co-sponsored by the National Press Photographers Association and honors student photographers in six categories: News, Feature, Sports Action, Sports Reaction, Environmental Portrait and Jr. High/Middle School. The contest yielded more than 1,200 entries. Entries were judged based on technical quality, artistic value and journalistic content.

Congratulations to Anila Ademi (Class of 2013) and the Mnemosyne Yearbook Staff!
