Senior English Fall 2017:

The warmer weather will leaving us soon here and we will be as busy as ever with summer reading quizzes, Beowulf, daily essays, Shakespeare, and more, as well as our weekly vocabulary, numerous literature activities, and critical thinking discussions.

Also, our daily literature workshops, poetry, and quick writes are happening each day.

Creative Writing Fall 2017:

Hello writers!

We will get to it right away with our first major writing selection, the "Me-Moirs" all while beginning The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, as well as  major free-write and assigned topic essays, which we will share aloud to our whole group circles.  Looking ahead, we will be focusing on a study of short fiction, ala Hemingway, Plath, and Chopin. Combine this with picture prompts, daily literature workshop, critical-thinking discussions, as well as quick writing.
