Welcome to Our Library!

I hope everyone had a relaxing summer break, but the start of school is almost here. If you haven't done your summer reading, you still have time. I'm looking forward to a great year with our new principal, Mr. Barnes. I've already met him, and I can report that he is very friendly and a great listener. We'll miss Dr. Williams, but Mr. Barnes is going to be one of our best principals yet! I'll see you in a few weeks.

Just a note to remind your children to make sure they have done their summer reading. You can find the summer reading list on the right-hand column. We have a lot of new faces at the Forest, so make sure you come to Bobcat Camp. Mr. Barnes, our new principal, sent out an e-mail for Bobcat Camp that will take place on Friday, August 18th.

OmniLibros is an annotated bibliography to help teachers, librarians, reading resource staff, and parents select and use recently (since 2010) published English-language tradebooks that promote understanding across global cultures. For young readers looking for good international reads, it may spark an exploration of new worlds. The annotated books have been translated into English; published in English outside of the US; or published in the US, but set in another country.
