Ms. Yaquanda Williams is in her first year at Northbrook High School. She was born and raised in a place known for good food, fun, and football-Mobile, Alabama! She started her educational pursuits at Tennessee State University (TSU) where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Arts degree in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in Sports Administration. She later went on to pursue a second Master’s degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) where she graduated, in 2006, with a Master of Science in Athletic Training. She recently completed an Athletic Training Residency program at Houston Methodist Hospital Sugarland where she was residency trained in orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation. With those teachings and educational background she joins the Northbrook High School staff teaching Sports Medicine classes. She believes this position will support her personal goal of pouring into herself so that she can continue to mentor and pour these skill sets into others. After all, her exposure began via mentorship and is now how she chooses to pay it forward. The gift of acceptance into the Northbrook High School Family is one that she can continue to give in practice and charity.
