I have a BS in biology and a MA in counseling, with a focus on learning differences such as ADHD and Autism. I believe that every child has unique strengths and the ability to succeed when given the proper support and encouragement. I believe in being solution-focused, and helping students to seek out strategies that will aid them not only in school, but after graduation and in the real world. Finally, I believe that each struggle is an opportunity for growth and an opportunity to ask, “What am I going to do differently next time?”
After shifting from counseling to teaching, I have started my teaching career this year at Northbrook High School. I am the English I and English II Co-teacher, which means I will have the opportunity to provide more personalized support to students who need that additional aid and encouragement.
