Welcome to the Meadow Wood Library Learning Commons!

Spring Branch ISD is committed to ensuring that library resources and services are a vital part of every student's continuous learning experience.  The Spring Branch ISD library web pages are your center for information and research.

The Meadow Wood Elementary library is dedicated in loving memory of Sarah Chidgey Hughes, or Miss Chidgey as she was known to her students. Sarah Chidgey was a teacher at Meadow Wood from 2006 to 2010.

In August of 2010 Sarah was diagnosed with cancer to which she lost her fight in February of 2011. If you were lucky enough to have known or met Sarah, you know that she was a very special young lady who touched hearts and inspired many. Miss Chidgey loved to read and loved to create excitement in her students for reading and learning. The library hosts a plaque noting this dedication and a painting of her and several of her students by Serbian artist Borko Petrovi. The front drive of Meadow Wood, Sarah’s Circle, is also named in her honor.

You can read more about Miss Chidgey’s journey through her blog.

Hour of Code  is December 5-9!  Students will be learning about computer science and coding through games and activities. The idea is to get in one hour of coding during the week. See the document below for some resources!
