About Me

I was graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in music and from the University of Houston with a Master's in Guidance and Counseling and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. I have worn many hats as a teacher: elementary music teacher, middle school counselor, and language arts and social studies teacher in grades 6th, 7th, and 8th. I have taught in the SPIRAL program in SBISD since 1982, and have taught GT Language Arts and Social Studies at Memorial Middle School for 23 years. I can't think of anything I would rather do than work with gifted and talented students at MMS.

Homework

Minimize

Students are required to write daily assignments in their Agenda Books.

Assignments for the week are posted on the board in the classroom every Monday and remain there throughout the week. This is an important skill students need in order to have personal success in this class and in life.

Major tests, long-term assignment due dates, and project due dates are posted on the calendar below.

Students should write these assignments in their Agenda Books as they are announced.

The teacher may change due dates for assignments.  Students should make these changes in their Agenda Books.

See Social Studies homework assignments on the Language Arts page.  All assignments for the LA/SS block are found there.
