Dress Code

  • School clothes should be clean, modest, simple and comfortable. Clothing intentionally torn, ragged, or tattered clothing will not be permitted.
  • Neither boys nor girls may wear short shorts. Only shorts of modest length (between mid-thigh and the knee) are permitted. Shorts that will touch fingertips at arms length are permitted.
  • Tank tops, half shirts, low-cut blouses, spaghetti straps or otherwise immodest clothing is not permitted.
  • Clothing advertising alcohol, drugs, tobacco products or other offensive designs, will not be tolerated.
  • Gang related clothing or jewelry is not permitted.
  • Boys cannot wear earrings.
  • Shirttails must be tucked in.
  • Pants must be worn at the waist; overalls must be buckled
  • Anything that creates a distraction in the classroom is clearly unacceptable (dyed hair, caps, sunglasses, etc.).
  • Shoes or sandals must be worn. All students are required to wear tennis shoes for participation in health fitness classes.
  • The Principal or Assistant Principal will decide what is appropriate attire and will send students home who are not in compliance with dress and grooming standards.
  • Absences due to dress code violations are unexcused.
