About Me

  • This is my twelfth year at Cornerstone.  I love this place!!  I teach 7th grade algebra, and science, as well as a variety of active CESITs.
  • I have two awesome kids, Mason and Marley, who are in 10th grade at SWHS and 8th grade at CSA, respectively.  They love all things active, especially sports.  They have very different personalities (which is a good thing) but both are great kids.
  • I attended the University of Kansas (home of the inventor of basketball - James Naismith).  Go Jayhawks!!

 Welcome to 7th grade algebra!!

Algebra will have homework almost every night.  There are usually about 10 problems: six of them will be over current content and four will be review questions.  If a student is spending more than 30 minutes a night on algebra homework, they need to come see me during stream and/or after school.

1st period (7:40-8:25): algebra CESIT (during 1st six weeks only)

2nd period (8:30-9:15): algebra CESIT (during 1st six weeks only)

3rd period (9:20-10:05): conference period

stream (10:10-10:30): your child can get extra help from me during this time

4th period (10:35-12:30): math/science block

lunch (12:30-1:05)

5th period (1:10-3:10): math/science block

I am available to help your students at a variety of times.  I will have after school algebra tutoring per request until 4:15pm on most Tuesdays andThursdays.  You may pick up your child then or they can ride a bus to their nearest elementary school.  Have your child talk to me ahead of time about which day works best for all of us.  Please send them with a note that includes the day they are staying and how they are getting home; this will keep us from having to call you that day.  Your child can also get extra help during stream (Tues-Fri) or during lunch.
