International Baccalaureate Diplomas awarded to 13 students

Thirteen of 24 seniors enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at the district's Westchester Academy for International Studies (WAIS), a charter school, earned the prestigious IB Diploma this year, campus leaders announced recently.

SBISD Board of Trustees news release on Mary Grace Landrum

Spring Branch ISD announced today that Mary Grace Landrum has resigned her seat as an SBISD Trustee. Mrs. Landrum, who was first elected to the Board in May 2005, announced that she has decided to resign her Trustee position to dedicate the time necessary to support her husband, Michael Landrum, in his campaign to be elected as a Judge in the 129th Civil District Court. Mrs. Landrum also has a growing consulting business that is requiring more of her time as her husband prepares to enter the world of public service.

Four new elementary schools set to open on August 22, 2011

Renovation & Systems Upgrades summer projects highlighted

Storm sewers, drainage and long-term maintenance. Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, or HVAC. Sidewalk, courtyard and parking lot improvements. Renovation and systems upgrades like these are often difficult to see. However, 40 percent or more of the $597.1 million bond plan approved by district voters in 2007 is dedicated to facility improvements in these and many related areas.
