Health Services at Frostwood are coordinated by our School Nurse, Nancy Musgrove. Mrs. Musgrove grew up in Spring Branch and went to Frostwood! She was an oncology nurse for many years, then subbed as a nurse in the school district for the last two years. Mrs. Musgrove has a daughter in college and a son who is a senior at Stratford. She is very excited to be the school nurse for Frostwood!
The functions of Health Services include screening for immunization compliance, health screenings, medication dispensing, first aid and care of ill students, health teaching, and health related counseling. The School Nurse also consults regarding students with health concerns who require planning and assistance so that they can participate in daily school activities.
At Frostwood, Health Services is also about helping children learn how to be and stay healthy. They are “people in progress” who need to be empowered in self-care skills and healthy decision choices.
