Frostwood's  counselor works with students in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.  Using the Texas Education Agency guidance curriculum Ms. Thompson uses a variety of techniques in her interactions strategies with the students.  Ms. Thompson loves to use the inclusion philosphy and strategies from the book TRIBES in her teachings. 

Ms. Thompson received her Bachelor's of Education from Northwestern State and her Masters in Guidance and Counseloing from LSU.  Her teaching experiences includes teaching in both elementary and middle school.  She has also served as a high school and elementary school counselor.  Most recently she was a fourth grade teacher here at Frostwood.  She has a close relationship with Frostwood due to the fact that all three of her own children attended and graduated from Frostwood.
