Chapter 17 QUIZ "Properties of Matter" - Thursday, November 12, 2009

Tuesday, November 17, 2009 - Chapter 17 Quiz...know your vocabulary, how to calculate density, understand the concept of buoyancy, understand Archimedes Principle, and how to calculate for pressure, temperature, and volume of gas using Boyle's Law and Charles' Law.  Come in with questions on Monday and Tuesday!!!

Chapter 18 Vocabulary - Sunday, November 15, 2009

For Chapter 18, "Atoms and Elements", students will complete the matching exercise in the Chapter Review section on page 315 of the CPO IPC textbook.  Students need to write out all information including the definition and the word that it matches.  Use the link http://www.cpo.com/ipcres/bookTOC.html to access the electronic textbook.  Format example:  HAND WRITE...1. matter - D.  anything that has mass and takes up space; 2. homogeneous mixture - F. every sample of this is material is the same; etc...
