Tutorials - Tuesdays and Thursdays (3:10-4:15)

Learning Lab: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and the first and third Wednesday of the month.

They will end at 4:15, the buses and parent pickup will be on the west side of the building.

9-Nov Solving Equations with Decimals Students will apply their knowledge and will be solving equations with decimals. 
10-Nov Review Students will complete a review in class and will be studying to prepare for test.
11-Nov Test Students will be tested over material covered in class.

13-Nov Adding and Subtracting Fractions Students will begin adding and subtracting fractions and will be expected to simplify all fractions. 

16-Nov Adding and Subtracting Fractions Students will begin adding and subtracting fractions and will be expected to simplify all fractions. 
17-Nov Adding and Subtracting Mixed Numbers Students will be expected to work with mixed numbers. 
18-Nov Modeling Multiplication of fractions Students will do some modeling and will do regular multiplication.
19-Nov Dividing Fractions Students will do all operations with fractions, but will focus on dividing fractions. 
20-Nov Solving Equations with Fractions Students will see examples on how solve equations with fractions and will practice with a couple of problems.

9-Nov Pre-Test; Wildlife Treasure Hunt; New COTW Students will individually demonstrate how much they already know about ecology by performing their best on the pretest.  Students will individually demonstrate an understanding that wildlife is present, even if you can't see it, by finding and documenting evidence of some.
10-Nov Vocab Students will individually record vocabulary terms, definitions, and pictures for a reference later.  
11-Nov Oh Deer! Students will demonstrate an understanding of the effects of limiting factors on a population of animals by participating in and graphing the Oh Deer activity.
12-Nov TAKS Writing  
13-Nov Effects of Human Intervention; Predator/Prey Graphs Students will demonstrate an understanding of how to interpret a food web by correctly completing The Effects of Human Intervention on a Food Web activity. Students will demonstrate an understanding of how organisms affect each other by correctly analyzing the predator/prey graphs.

 

 
16-Nov Ecosystem Jobs Students will demonstrate an understanding of the jobs organisms have and how they interact with each other.
17-Nov Succession Comic Strip Students will demonstrate an understanding of primary and secondary succession by individually making a comic strip that correctly includes succession in it.
18-Nov Camoflauge Simulations Students will demonstrate an understanding of camouflage and mimicry by exploring the given websites individually and correctly completing the activities on them.
19-Nov Frozen Critters Students will demonstrate an understanding of the importance of adaptations in predator/prey relationships by playing quick frozen critters and discussing it as a class.
20-Nov Vocab Students will individually record vocabulary terms, definitions, and pictures for a reference later.
