My passions are kids, education, sports, and experiencing other cultures. My first career was pediatric nursing at the University of Michigan Medical Center. I enjoyed working with school age children and their families and helping them adjust to and learn about chronic illnesses. After receiving an MBA from Stanford University, I moved to Stavanger, Norway and began an 11 year career in finance/accounting in the oil business. In 1996, my family and I returned to the U.S., this time Houston, Texas. I began yet another career: teaching middle school science and later math and algebra.
I love participating in most sports; I dislike watching them on T.V. I run several mornings a week (in the dark) and completed my first (and only) marathon in 2000. I love learning new things, and I am having a great time hearing about the excitement of Cornerstone. I can’t wait to meet all of our students and their families in the coming days and weeks! Drop by anytime so that I can meet you!
