The mission of SBISD Middle School Family and Consumer Science Education is to provide students with the essential knowledge and skills for managing the challenges of living and working in a diverse, global society. Curriculum promotes leadership and personal growth by focusing on the multiple roles of family members, wage earners, and community leaders. Students develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and vocational preparation. Individuals utilize these skills to promote family strength and well-being, pursue careers, and enhance career and personal effectiveness.
