SBISD Community Education students in Judy Bell’s advanced photography class won eight awards in the Texas Mushroom Festival Photography Contest. Student Joyce Lobliner won first place overall in the festival. She received a ribbon, a $125 cash award, and recognition for her prize-winning work.
The contest was judged by Texas Monthly magazine photo editors and photographers. It receives entries from across the world.
This year, instructor Judy Bell’s students won eight separate awards. Last year, her photo students won seven awards, including first, second and third place awards. This year’s awards include the following student honors:
