We recognize our wonderful SBISD Volunteers as we join with others to celebrate National Volunteer Week – Celebrating People in Action.

SBISD has about 9,000 registered volunteers. In the last 12 months, our amazing volunteers have logged more than 140,000 volunteer hours in support of our students and the district. As calculated by the Points of Light Foundation at $18.05 per hour, the value of this volunteer service is worth $2,527,000 but to all of us they are perfectly PRICELESS!
