Spring Woods High senior Hallie Jordan, who is co-editor in chief of the high school’s Regit student newspaper, has published two separate articles recently in the Houston Chronicle’s Yo! section, which is designed to appeal to younger readers. Hallie’s news stories include a Sept. 11 account of a visit to the I Madonari Sidewalk Art Competition and Festival and a Sept. 18 commentary about parental control on cell-phone use through new technology. Hallie was a Chronicle Cub during the summer. She plays flute in the band and may be a candidate for Class of 2008 valedictorian, her teachers say. (9-19-07)
