The first-ever Support Personnel Job Fair, held July 19 at Don Coleman Coliseum, drew about 260 people to apply for positions in several district departments, including human resources, benefits, substitute office, child nutrition, maintenance, custodial, transportation and police department. Job Fair information was publicized widely through local media and the district website and prominently highlighted on campus marquees. Due to positive evaluations from departments, the district Job Fair is expected to become an annual summertime event. (7-30-07)
