Stratford High quarterback Andrew Luck was featured as a standout regional player Aug. 30 in the Houston Chronicle’s annual High Schools Football 2007 special section. Andrew, who is in the running to be a campus co-valedictorian, is the No. 1 quarterback prospect in Texas and ranks 4th nationally. He plans to attend Stanford University. Luck led the Spartans to a 21-17 victory over Cy-Fair at Tully Stadium, also on Aug. 30, as he completed 15 of 33 passes for 228 yards and two touchdowns.
