Northbrook High adds new landscaping
Trees of Houston joined forces with students and teachers at Northbrook High School this spring to add trees and a flower garden at the high school campus, located at 1 Raider Circle. During late April, Trees of Houston planted 35 trees around the high school’s perimeter, one of several beautification projects undertaken during recent years.

Northbrook High teacher Patricia Varela has combined environmental education with several projects, she reports. Earlier this year, Christina Martinez, a 2006 Northbrook High graduate, and English as a Second Language students Adriana Perez, Karen Ramirez, Janet Villamar and Nayeli Villanueva helped plant a new flower garden. The campus improvements have resulted in favorable comments, project organizers say.
