Students in the Life Skills vocational program at Spring Woods High School were recently named Classroom Champions by the H-E-B Store, located at Gessner and Kempwood, and the store donated $300 in credit to the high school’s Life Skills program. H-E-B Store Director John Compian presented teachers Ingrid Syam and Tyron Mattox with the gift cards.
“These funds will allow us to continue our community-based instructional program through which we go out into the community as an extension of our classroom to continue lessons,” teacher Ingrid Syam said. Students in the school’s Life Skills vocational laboratory class separate and group the yellow store coupons that are available to H-E-B shoppers when they enter the Gessner store.
