The clock is ticking down. The March 31 application deadline is fast approaching to apply for either graduating senior or teacher scholarships through the SBISD Council of PTAs annual awards program. Each year, the Council and Spring Branch Education Foundation awards scholarships to seniors for college classes and to district educators for seminars that will directly benefit students.
This year’s annual Awards Night will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, also in the SBISD Administration Building on Campbell Road. Scholarship amounts and the number of awards depend each year on community donations.
Both the Council's student and teacher scholarship applications are now available at http://www.springbranchisd.com/partners/pta/scholarships.htm. Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Monday, March 31, to the SBISD Council of PTAs offices located in the SBISD Adminstration Building, 955 Campbell Road. Donation information is also available on the Council’s website.
In separate but related scholarship news, the Spring Branch Education Foundation administers its Employee Scholarship Fund from donations that it receives from district employees.
