Stratford High's Andrew Luck chooses Stanford University
National Signing Day is Feb. 6, but Stratford High quarterback Andrew Luck has known for a long time where he was headed after graduation. The 6-3, 215-pound Luck, who has totaled more than 9,000 yards on offense during his high school career, plans to attend Stanford University next year. A Feb. 3 photograph and story about Andrew was published in the Sunday Houston Chronicle under the headline “No Secret Where Luck is Bound.”

“My family has been a guiding light for me through all of this,” he told the daily newspaper. “They have really helped me keep steady and allowed me to do what’s best for my future.” He is thinking about history and civil engineering as a Stanford major.
