Poems by Memorial High senior Karen Hartsoch and junior Minji Yi have been accepted by the Creative Communications Anthology and will soon be published. Karen and Minji are members of longtime teacher Mary Hall’s second-semester Creative Writing class.
Mary Hall, who is 90, has taught for 56 years, including 43 years at Memorial High. She is now employed part time and volunteers on campus for the remainder of the day. Since she began teaching creative writing five years ago, her students have placed 22 separate poems in the nationally distributed anthology.
