Several members of the Spring Branch Educational Support Association are standing a bit taller after their work on behalf of the state support staff association was recognized during a recent national meeting. Administrative Assistant Carlton Sands in SBISD’s Policy Administration/Governmental Relations Department was recognized for her work as an assistant editor for the Texas Educational Support Association’s Tesa Connection publication, which was named Magazine of the Year by the National Association of Education Office Professionals.
Also honored at the July national meeting in Seattle was the magazine article titled “Success,” which was written by Transportation Department’s Maria Campos, who is president of the Spring Branch Educational Support Association. She was named the group’s local Member of the Year earlier this year. TESA was also recognized for its website and placed fourth nationwide with 279 members. (7-24-07)
