The Guthrie Center will conduct its next Community Tuesday Open House at its campus Tuesday, Feb. 19, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The Career and Technology campus, located at 10660 Hammerly, offers the public an opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and experience the technology-intensive real-world programs and educational opportunities offered at this school, which serves SBISD secondary students.
During the open house, students and teachers will share personal advice on topics ranging from "Picking Out a Digital Camera" to "Reinstalling Software on Your New Computer." At The Guthrie Center, students take advanced elective courses in a variety of areas, including 3D-Animation, Robotics, Architectural CAD, Agricultural Sciences, Electronics, Cosmetology, Criminal Justice, Forensic Sciences, Commercial Photography, Digital Filmmaking, Internet Broadcasting, NJROTC, Automotive Technologies, Computer Networking, Cisco, A+Certification, Culinary Arts, Hotel Management and Diversified Internships.
