Fifth-grade parents with children attending any Spring Branch ISD middle school next year are encouraged to attend an informational meeting to learn about Pre-Advanced Placement (AP) and AP programs in the district’s middle and high schools. Curriculum directors will discuss language arts, social studies, math and science. Information will also be provided about the Pre-AP and grade level curriculums in the sixth grade so that parents can make informed decisions. Special sessions will be provided both for parents of Gifted and Talented students and for Spanish-speaking parents. SBISD’s Advanced Academic Studies Department is now located at Westchester Academy for International Studies, 901 Yorkchester, in the building’s B300 suites.
