Four high schools nominated for Tommy Tune Awards
The annual Tommy Tune Award nominations are in, and Spring Branch high schools are singing happy tunes. Four district high schools have been nominated and will compete in the 2008 Tommy Tune Awards competition.

Memorial High has been nominated for Annie Get Your Gun, Spring Woods High for the upcoming production of Bye Bye Birdie, Stratford High for The Wizard of Oz, and Westchester Academy for International Studies for Annie. In all, 43 Houston-area high schools were nominated for the Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) annual awards competition. This year’s awards will be announced on April 22 in the Hobby Center downtown.

SBISD high school theater and drama departments, as well as band and orchestras, have won numerous Tommy Tune Awards during recent years. To read more about this event, visit www.tuts.com/tuneawards.
