Learning Lab begins next Tuesday.  Learning lab will be assigned when students do not have homework completed (not for absences or make up work) or if they are not using class time wisely.  It is not punitive, but intented to ensure that all work is completed.  Students may also choose to stay for a quiet place to work with written permission from home.  It is available Tuesday - Friday after school from 3:15 - 4:15.  Students will call or e-mail during the school day to let parents know that they are expected to attend.  If no one is available to pick them up at 4:15, a late bus is available that will take them to the elementary school that is closest to home.  Please make sure your student knows which school that is!  If you are picking your student up, pick up is on the WEST end of the building promtly at 4:15!  If you are running late, students will be placed on the bus and you may pick them up or allow them to walk home from the drop off point.  Thanks!

 

Math and science tutorials begin next week and will be available every Tuesday after school from 3:15 - 4:15.  Students can be picked up at 4:15 on the west end of the building or they may take a bus that will drop them off at their home elementary school.  If they are taking the bus, please make sure that they know what elementary they are zoned to if they attended a different school in 5th grade.  We are still available daily during STREAM time (10:10 - 10:30) for additional help as well.

 

 

We will begin looking at topics of interest in the world, doing a bit of research and then sharing our thoughts on blogspot (the site address is listed below).  Only members can post, but everyone is welcome to take a look and see what our very own 6th graders think!
