What is my SAN folder?
SBISD has provided each employee with a location on the central server system to store critical files. Each employee is allocated 250 MB of space. This server is backed up nightly. Information can be recovered from the backups for about 10 days. Although the folder is available only to the employee for use and viewing, the folder and its contents are SBISD property and can be reviewed by system administrators in the central office as needed.
Employees can access their individual folder in many ways.
- H: drive – double click My Computer and then double click the H drive.
- \\alaska\san\alias name - Click Start, Run, type \\alaska\san\, click OK, double click your login name.

What do I do if I do not have a SAN folder at all?
Please visit the 365GEEK web site and submit a work request ticket. We will be happy to get the folder created for you.
What do I do if I have a SAN folder but it does not come up on the H: drive?
Please confirm on a total of three computers that the H drive does not appear. When submitting a 365GEEK ticket please let us know that the H drive did not appear on three different Windows XP computers. This will let us know it is a login issue and not a computer issue. If the H drive works on one of the three computers, please let us know this information as well so we can fix the computer(s) where the H: drive is not working.
